WAM encourages readers to take waste action in their personal lives and communities. Clean Up Australia Day is a great way to do this.
This year it falls on Sunday 2nd March. Since it was started 35 years ago, millions of Aussies have pulled on their gloves and donated their time to improve the environment by cleaning up areas of their local community.
Create your own Clean Up group, or join one that’s already been organised. Visit cleanup.org.au and search the map of registered Clean Ups to find details of an event near you.
