Beerwah State School Principal Scott Bowden and staff are excited to welcome students back for Term 3, with another busy and engaging term of learning, creativity and growth ahead.
The school’s philosophy is centred on supporting every student to be their very best and equipping them to lead a life of choice, rather than chance.
Two key priorities underpin the school’s approach: delivering an engaging English curriculum aligned with Australian Curriculum achievement standards through expert teaching practices and whole-school frameworks; and continually reviewing and refining processes that support the social and emotional wellbeing of students and staff.
Across all areas of the Australian Curriculum, students are encouraged to learn through interesting and innovative approaches, with technology incorporated to help develop capable digital citizens equipped with skills for their future.
There is plenty happening across the school this term, including the District Track and Field Athletics Carnival and Raw Art workshops, which will contribute to the school’s Arts Week Showcase later in the term. Students will have the opportunity to display their creative works and celebrate their artistic achievements.
Prep students recently marked the important milestone of 100 Days of School, enjoying counting challenges, party games and a day of fun. The school has also celebrated NAIDOC Week through a collaborative art project recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
