THE rain was no deterrent as over 150 newcomers and old hands alike came to the annual Lions Meet and Greet at Tranquil Park on Sunday (October 13). MC and Glasshouse MP, Andrew Powell, welcomed guests to the “God’s own country”.
“You’ve got the best communities and best people in the world right here, so welcome!” he said.
Lions President, Jen Coffey, said it was great to connect new residents with each other and the dozens of community organisations in the region.
