THE thought above prompted this question, do you know where you are going? Now let’s ask that same question with context? Do you know where you are going in light of eternity?
Life has a way of throwing challenges at us in many different ways. Not only do we need to navigate the challenge but also stay the course. God has provided the blue print for navigating life through Jesus Christ. A way to live and walk through challenges while staying on track. There isn’t a single person who wouldn’t benefit from the values and principles He taught.
So if heaven is on your bucket list, the only way to get there is through Jesus Christ. You may need to make some adjustments in the direction you are heading, if you want to reach your destination.
The captain of a ship looked into the dark night and saw a light in the distance. Immediately he told his signalman to send a message, “Alter your course ten degrees south.” He promptly received a reply, “Alter your course ten degrees north.”
The furious captain sent another message, “Alter your course ten degrees south. I am a captain!” Soon another reply was received, “Alter your course ten degrees north. I am seaman third class Jones.”
The captain sent a final message, “Alter your course ten degrees south. I am a battleship.” The reply was, “Alter your course ten degrees north. I am a lighthouse.”
We must not try to direct our own lives, but yield to the direction of Jesus.
