Where futures take flight

By Martin Moloney Principal, St John’s College

At St John’s College, we are proud of our strong tradition and our unwavering commitment to every young person in our care.

Principal, Martin Moloney, regularly communicates that our staff at St John’s College work in positive partnership with students and parents to ensure all students are happy and safe, develop as good people, and are met at their level of readiness.

This partnership sits at the heart of everything we do.

With a current enrolment of 930 students from Years 7 to 12, St John’s has been established for forty years on its present site and for over eighty-five years as a Catholic secondary school in Nambour.

Our professional, innovative, caring and dedicated teachers continue to build on a fine tradition of scholastic, cultural, sporting and extra-curricular excellence, supported by outstanding modern facilities.

St John’s College is built on a foundation of high expectations, where good people, Gospel values and positive attainment come together to create an exceptional educational experience.

We prioritise the happiness and safety of our students, fostering a genuine sense of belonging where each child feels valued, connected and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our approach to learning recognises that every student is unique.

By meeting students at their stage of development and level of readiness, and through personalised attention and a tailored curriculum, we support each young person to meet and exceed their goals.

Beyond the classroom, our comprehensive programs in sport, leadership, arts, music and service nurture well-rounded, respectful, resilient and compassionate individuals.

At St John’s College, we believe we offer the best in Catholic secondary education on the Sunshine Coast. Join us and become a ‘Johnnie’—together, we will shape a bright and hope-filled future.
