Winter sparkles at Arts Alive

MALENY Arts Alive 2025 was held under picture-perfect winter skies on Friday, with hundreds turning out for an evening of song, dance and celebration of everything that makes the hinterland town such a unique and creative community.

Organised by Maleny Arts Co-op chair Steve McLeish, the event closed Maple Street to traffic, transforming it with glowing lanterns, light projections and interactive art installations.

Performances ranged from folk ensembles and jazz trios busking to salsa dancing and spoken word poetry.

Steve praised volunteers and local businesses for their support.

Plans are already underway for next year’s Arts Alive!
