THE Glasshouse Tennis Social Club has warmly thanked the Beerwah Lions Club for assisting in cleaning the two tennis courts at the Glasshouse Mountains Sports Club.
Glasshouse Tennis member, Vicki Heading, said the tennis courts were mouldy, making them unsafe and unusable, so they contacted Glasshouse MP Andrew Powell to help, which he then facilitated for the Beerwah Lions to assist.
“The Lions Club did an amazing job ably led by their President Rod “Rocket” Layt,” she said.
“Also, a huge thank you to Andrew Powell MP… Andrew is always willing to help us out wherever possible.”
The local tennis club have had an increase of players, which is why they needed a second court to play on.
Vicki said if anyone is interested in playing social tennis in Glasshouse, there are playing times on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7am.
