Rosetta Books’ Christmas appeal

By Sonia Isaacs

Rosetta Books has launched an extra special Christmas appeal that will provide some much needed sparkle and joy for children living in local crisis accommodation.
In collaboration with the Salvation Army and Speak Up Now; Rosetta Books has established an instore Christmas book tree to gift the joy of reading to children aged from 2-15.
Rosetta Books can assist customers to choose age-appropriate books, however they are also welcome to select any title from the wide range of children’s books to choose from, including some special titles brought in just for Christmas.
Staff will then wrap and place the purchased books under the specially designed Christmas ‘book tree’ for delivery to children on Christmas Day.
Lea Dodd, owner of Rosetta Books, said she initiated the appeal, as the cause was one that was particularly important and close to her heart. She said she was hoping for an immediate target of 24 books to gift to children currently in two centres, however if the community wished to donate more then she would arrange to have then distributed them more widely.
The appeal runs until December 14, Rosetta books is located at 30 Maple Street Maleny.
