ARE you a local screenwriter, producer or creative dreaming of bringing your short film, documentary or reality TV idea to the big screen?
Check out The Sunny Coast Showdown 2024 for a ground breaking opportunity to launch your career and make award winning film and TV right here on the Sunshine Coast.
Officially launching this week, the event is a not-for-profit talent incubator that accesses funding, support and mentoring to encourage local screen creatives to produce film and TV ideas that can be developed, crewed and filmed here in our region. Open to all greater-Sunshine Coast residents or crews with at least one local resident, the aim of the initiative is to boost the capacity and capability of our local screen industry and creative talent.
Entries are open from January 15 to February 1, 2024 with the winners announced February 19. Entries can be submitted in three categories; Scripted (short film), Unscripted (documentary or reality TV show) and First Nations (short film, documentary or reality TV show). People can enter their short film idea, documentary idea, reality TV show idea or First Nations idea through templates on the Showdown website -www.sunnycoastshowdown.com.au.
