Beerburrum Plantation closed due to damage

HQ Plantations has extended the closure of the Beerburrum Plantation to January 17, due to storm damage and the forecasted wet conditions.

The plantation has already been closed for a week prior to this extension, following earlier storms which caused and continues to cause trees to fall over, compromising public safety.

With rainy weather predicted over the next few days, the closure has been extended to next Wednesday.

“Some activities with permits, confined to formed roads and with a safety management plan specific to the conditions may resume after consultation with their permit manager,” HQ Plantations said online.

The next update will be released on January 17 to confirm if the closure will be extended or lifted.
