Coast’s latest regional arts grant recipients

14 artists, arts groups and creative businesses will share nearly $90,000 from the latest Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) round of grants.

Creative projects funded by this funding will include workshops, recording music albums, mentoring, developing new work and presenting live shows.

Sunshine Coast Council Arts Portfolio Councillor, Rick Baberowski, said Council was proud to support more creative dynamos, to assist in the development and support of their endeavours.

“The arts make such a compounding contribution to creative life here on our Sunshine Coast and it’s vital we support both our emerging and established creatives to flourish,” Cr Baberowski said.

“These grants create momentum and encourage opportunities to help build a supportive environment where the arts can successfully grow and prosper.

“They are delivered in a truly effective partnership with the Queensland Government and align with the Sunshine Coast Creative Arts Plan 2023–2038, which provides a vision for the Sunshine Coast to be alive with arts, culture and creativity.”

Cr Baberowksi said the 14 recipients were chosen from a pool of 35 applicants and encouraged those still interested in the grants to look out for future funding opportunities.
