THE Beerwah Golf Club has announced a new junior golfing program for beginners and intermediate players. The aim of the program is to provide a clear pathway for golf junior athletes. Both programs start this week, with the beginners program on every Monday at 4pm, and intermediate program is every Thursday at 4pm. The beginners program is suited for juniors aged 8-14 and the intermediate program is suited for juniors with some golf experience, aged 10-17.
Each program has 10 sessions, costing families $100 and $110 for the term respectively. Beerwah Golf Operations Manager, Matt Lang, said it was important to the club to provide a clear pathway for up and coming juniors. “It’s a key point of our strategic plan investing in junior programs, we want to try and get some good golfers out of this,” he said.
“Golf is fun and is a low impact sport, making it accessible for juniors.”
