ROSETTA Books is excited to introduce you to our new Lead Bookseller, Andrea, and we encourage you to come into the store and say hello.
Like many of us, when Andrea was growing up, she could always be found reading a book.
But it was not until she was in her early 20s that she discovered bookselling. Andrea reveals that “it all began when I was on a working holiday in Canada, where I was offered a job in the picturesque tourist town of Banff, Alberta with family-owned Banff Book & Art Den. Upon returning home to Australia, I settled in Brisbane, where I worked predominantly with Mary Ryan’s”.
Andrea is now delighted to call Maleny her new home, although she is not entirely new to the town, having lived here before.
While Andrea’s favourite genre is fiction, she is ready to help you with all your reading needs.
She holds a degree from the University of Queensland, majoring in Australian Literature and Journalism, and she is also a qualified librarian!
Andrea says her favourite Australian authors are Hannah Kent and Holly Ringland.
“I recently read Prophet Song by Paul Lynch, a confronting yet unforgettable story,” she says.
“In my free time, when I am not reading, I enjoy spending time in nature and aromatherapy.”
