NOT vibing a white wedding? Berdie and Ricky weren’t feeling it either when they tied the knot recently.
Instead the Hinterland pair went all in on goth vibes with black candles that bled red, lanterns with skills and a big black dress, candle ceremony and an owl ring bearer.
Berdie, who owns Queen B Hair Artistry in the Glasshouse Mountains, held the wedding at the Noosa Botanical Gardens with celebrant Nicky Jane from Hinterland Ceremonies.
“I walked down the aisle to Ezio’s Family from Assassin’s Creed,” Berdie said. “And we had the pleasure of having Luna the owl from our local guy here in Glasshouse Raptor Vision, he flew down the aisle with our rings and it was the most amazing moment!”
“We then followed to have our reception at the Cooroy Memorial Hall with all of our photos from the day taken from a local photographer in Peachester, Bianca, who owns Winter Ivy Photography. She was absolutely amazing and captured our day exactly how I envisioned it.
“We had a first dance on stage with a smoke machine and danced to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica as it’s our song and our second daughter was born to that song so it was a special moment.”
