Dada Divyalokeshananda, from the River School, will be presenting an East meets West classical music concert on Saturday 20 August, at 2 pm (with children in mind) and again on Sunday 21 August, at 2 pm at the White Eagle Lodge in Witta.
Dada’s violin and sitar have traveled through more than fifty countries bringing him into contact with many different cultures over his forty-year career as a yoga and meditation teacher.
“The music of these cultures has greatly influenced me,” says Dada. “My meditation practice helps my music and my music helps me in my meditation.”
The concert will consist of Dada playing some of Bach’s Solo Partitas for violin, Chopin’s romantic music for piano as well Indian classical ragas on his 75-year-old vintage sitar.
