ENERGEX is still working on restoring power for 362 homes in South East Queensland, following a ferocious storm last week, with cyclonic winds and nearly half a million lightning strikes.
50,000 homes in the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and surrounds regions suffered power outages on the December 16-17 weekend, due to searing heat and other severe weather.
The business has restored around 50,000 homes since the mass black outs, however, Energex is still concerned there could be more properties they are unaware of, who still don’t have power.
Energex is urging anyone that doesn’t have power, when the rest of their street may have power, to call 13 62 62.
