Placemaking and streetscaping for a better Maleny

A brief overview

Dr Greg Mews (USC) inspired us with the possibilities that Placemaking can make to a community regardless of age, abilities, and culture. Hiren Bhatt of the Sunshine Coast Council indicated that the budget restricts the options in terms of Placemaking, but does offer options for Streetscaping that would improve safety, greening, and sitting areas.

The GC&M News article highlights some of the key points made at the forum – https://gcnews.com.au/maleny-streetscape-concept-revealed/
