Sunshine Coast Council is undertaking measures to reduce the complexity of applying for grants.
Minor grant applications are now open for not-for-profit groups looking to make their communities “active, vibrant, inclusive, resilient and creative”.
Sunshine Coast Council’s minor grants programs supports not-for-profit organisations to deliver one-off projects, events and activities with broad community benefit.
The Community Grants Program, including Minor Grants, was reviewed in 2021. A variety of updates, to reduce the program’s complexity, are scheduled to occur throughout 2022.
Stage one of these updates included the development of new, easier-to-read Guidelines and updated application forms.
The council is asking for groups to apply under the category best aligned with your event’s purpose.
If applying for a Christmas, New Year (December 31-January 1), Australia Day, ANZAC Day or Remembrance Day event, please see council’s new Festive and Commemorative Events Grants.
