Talented students ride the magic carpet

Landsborough State School has entered a whole new world with its recent musical production, Aladdin Jr.

The school hall was transformed into an Arabian oasis as this popular and celebrated Disney stage show was brought to life.

Principal Benjamin Gaske said the school’s biennial musical productions were always popular with parents and the wider community.

“It is a ‘whole school’ performance, giving every student time to shine on stage. It’s a phenomenal experience for them,” he said.

“They also get an idea of how much dedication and commitment is required before you actually get into costume and perform on stage.”

Aladdin Jr was chosen as this year’s musical from school community and student voting. It was a perfect choice as there is an underlying message in the story of Aladdin, which resonates with primary school aged children. It reminds us that our true character and worth lies within, and that if we continue to aspire towards our dreams, and work hard while remaining true to ourselves, we may reveal our inner magic for all the world to see.

The school would like to thank everyone who joined them on this magic carpet ride.
