THE Lions Club of the Blackall Range will host this year’s Welcome to the Hinterland dinner event at Flaxton Gardens on Wednesday, October 20.
Club president Peter Jensen said this would be the sixth Welcome to the Hinterland dinner.
“All new residents of the communities of Montville, Flaxton, Mapleton, Kureelpa, Dulong and surrounds are invited to come along,” Peter said.
“This is a great opportunity for new residents to meet other new residents, as well as representatives from some of our local community organisations and some of your local businesspeople, enjoy a great meal and be informed by guest speakers from our communities.”
Canapés will be served from 6.15pm followed by a delicious two-course meal. Lots of raffle prizes have been generously donated by local sponsors and raffle tickets will be sold on the night.
The grand raffle prize has been provided by renowned award-winning landscape photographer Ben Messina. To see more of Ben’s work you can drop into his galleries in Montville and Maleny.
