Workshops now part of handmade markets

BACK in October 2019, three creative locals decided to set up the quarterly Maleny Handmade Markets to bring together makers and crafters from around the region.
Despite the challenges provided by COVID the markets have continued to operate and now are being co-ordinated by the dynamic duo of Nicole Hilton and Marie Shannon who have continued to come up with ways to enhance the regular event.

At their next market, to be held on the weekend of July 24 and 25 from 8am–3pm at the Maleny Community Centre, they have introduced workshops into the schedule for the first time.
The four workshops being offered include mandala painting ($70), flute making ($40), as well as shorter taster workshops in pressed metal ($35) and resin jewellery making ($35).

Later in the year they will be holding a market on November 13 and 14, just in time for all your Christmas shopping. Visit www.malenyhandmademarkets.com for more information.
