Christmas friendship lunch

CHRISTMAS lunch for Sunshine Coast Friendship Force members was a day for entertainment.

Twelve members, the Sunshine Clappers, performed a body percussion routine to the Pizzicato Polka using heads, hands and feet in time with the rhythm.

The routine was copied from a group of French students who had taken six months to learn.

Our talented seniors, believed that “seniors can do anything”, captured the movements in four lessons with a lot of laughs and memory challenges.

The lunch at the Powerboat club was attended by 48 past and present members and included a trivia quiz, multiple prizes and a poetry recitation by our oldest member who, at 92 years old, never missed a line.
