PEACHESTER State School students have been developing essential skills in first aid through the St Johns First Aid Schools Program. Prep students are learning how to look for danger, personal safety and how to send for help; students in the middle years learn skills such as the DRSAB steps of the Action Plan and the recovery position. and the senior class enjoyed the practical CPR component of the day. Following two recent emergency helicopters and patient transfers, the students were very keen to learn how they can help in an emergency and to maintain their own safety.
