GLASSHOUSE Mountains Little Athletics rising star Ruben Coombs has won an impressive bronze in the 100 metres hurdles at the Colgate South Island Games, as part of the New Zealand Little Athletics development tour.
Ruben did the Glasshouse club proud, travelling as the only representative from the hinterland club and walking away with the prized medal. The tour took place on January 6-15 and allowed Ruben to experience Little Athletics on an international scale, alongside other Queensland based athletes picked in the exclusive U15s group. His mum, Rochelle, highly recommended the experience for future and upcoming athletes, while thanking the Glasshouse Mountains Little Athletics committee and parents in supporting his trip.
