Local business professional honoured in her field

A WEALTH of experience and expert customer service has provided the catalyst for Smartline mortgage advisor Teresa Harrison’s state finalist position for two Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) 2022 awards.

Teresa, a respected financer in the Beerwah and Woodford areas, is recognised in two categories including MFAA Regional Finance Broker Award and Community Champion Award.

The prestigious awards, judged by an independent panel of industry specialists, business professionals and experts, are the most rigorous in the Australian mortgage and finance industry with final judication in July.

Teresa notes her excitement at being chosen as the awards “are not given lightly” and acknowledges working with “a great group of staff who are all very good at what they do”.

“To be recognised as a finalist speaks volumes of their exceptional practice and professionalism in the mortgage and finance industry,” the MFAA added.

This year has brought further acknowledgment to Teresa’s regional office, chosen as one of three franchises for their efficiency to enter a Mortgage Choice multi loan writing pilot program.

As testament to a career spanning 35 years in the finance industry, Teresa maintains a trust and relationship with her clients, some for over 20 years.

In catering for first home buyers, it is often the case they are grandchildren of existing clients.

Teresa states it is a journey she goes on with her clients, educating, assisting and always about their best interest, for example, “we help them to get their dream home, not a house”.
