The Sunday Session

UNDER a blue sky and in warm sunshine, Beerwah Tower Green came alive recently with music, food, coffee and fun for The Sunday Session.

The event offered locals a fun and relaxed afternoon to meet and learn about groups available in our local community.
Local musicians The Glasshouse Ukes and Chewy Chilli, as well as emerging young performers The Turner Brothers and Rhori Callinan, provided a wonderful diversity of entertainment, covering well known songs to original compositions.

The free community celebration was hosted by several Glasshouse Country groups including Rotary, Landsborough Museum, Beerwah and Glasshouse Mountains Boomerang Bags, Celebrate Glasshouse Country, Beerwah CWA, the Probus Club of Glass House Mountains, Beerburrum School of Arts Hall and Beerwah Lions.

Each group hosted a stall featuring information and stories about who they are, and many were able to have conversations with locals about why they believe they are a valuable part of the community.
The organising groups will meet in coming weeks to discuss whether to host a similar event in the future.
The organisers would like to thank all the performers and everyone who came along and contributed to making it a great afternoon.
