Time for a creative road trip?

By Lea Parkes

AFTER reading about Tawny Trails, which was launched back in November, I realised that this was my idea of a road trip, providing the opportunity to escape from everyday life in just the one day without travelling far from home.

The creators of Tawny Trails, a self-drive tour through the Moreton Bay hinterland townships of Woodford, Mount Mee, Ocean View Estates, Dayboro and Samford, have brought together what they describe as a creative living experience that mixes the beauty of nature and the magic of creativity into an art and lifestyle tour.

The trails are offered on the last Sunday of the month, with the next one on January 30. It features 14 individual galleries, both private and community, as well as studios, retail businesses offering, food, books and yoga, horse riding and walking for you to enjoy as well as accommodation options.

Each location has been picked to express different elements for your creative journey with no place alike.

It is a great opportunity to meet award-winning artists surrounded by their work and to participate in workshops.

Visit the Tawny Trail’s website to learn more about the different locations, as well as well as an interactive trail map.
