THE Maleny Neighbourhood Centre’s Christmas Day Breakfast was a success among the community with more than 400 people attending to celebrate the holiday together.
Relationship Coach Sharon Chapman said it was a great day full of community spirit.
“For some folk who were new to the area, away from home or without family, a warm welcome and Xmas cheer brightened their day,” she said.
“We also saw lots of familiar faces of local residents who join us every year to start their day with a smile.”
Sharon also said how much the neighbour centre appreciated the Sunshine Coast Council for sponsoring the event.
“Run by a team of volunteers, this free event is kindly sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council. Along with perfect weather, this heart-felt event was a festive success,” she said.
