Writing a real page turner

Do you wonder how crime writers compel their readers to keep turning the pages?

Crack the case with Maleny author Lea Scott who will be facilitating a workshop on Crime Writing Essentials at the inaugural Storytelling Festival, Beerwah Library on Tuesday August 30 at 2.45-3.45pm.

Lea is a member of the Beerwah Writers Group, and also a lecturer in creative writing at CQUniversity (aka Dr Leanne Dodd).

She will have a stall at the Horizon Festival as part of the free program from 2.00pm-7.30pm where you can come along and have a chat with her about all things writing.

“I am always happy to pass on what I’ve learnt to aspiring authors,” Lea says.

If you are an avid crime reader, Lea will be launching her latest short story in the RWR crime story anthology ‘Meanwhile Murder’ as well as having some of her novels available for purchase.

You can hear her in conversation about her work with local author Mary-Lou Stephens around 7.10pm as part of the festival program.
